The Best Disposable Diapers
The number of disposable diapers on the market can be dizzying. If you've settled on disposable diapers over cloth, it can be hard to know which brand is the best disposable diaper and which can lead to leaks and blowouts. We know, we've been there. Given how often you'll need to change diapers and the cost of frequent purchases, finding a great diaper for your needs and budget can make any day better, or at least drier and less messy.
We've tested more than 60 disposable diapers since 2012. In this review, we test and compare the top 15 choices. With more than a decade of experience lab testing diapers, we have unique and extensive insight that helps us distinguish the best from the worst and everything in between. We put each diaper through multiple rounds of proprietary absorbency lab testing and used each one on real babies.
After much lab testing and real-world use, Hello Bello Premium diapers are our favorites. This reasonably priced diaper had good absorbency test results and locked moisture away to help prevent the development of diaper rashes.
If you are looking for some even cheaper, Huggies Snug & Dry is a well-known brand with a wallet-loving price. This option also has impressive absorbency and adorable graphics on the outside. It is very easy to find in stores and online.
The world of diapering is vast and full of products, but we can help you find the essentials you need. From diaper pails to keep odors contained to diaper bags that are worthy of heading out with you and your baby, we've got the inside scoop. Also, check out our favorite cloth baby wipes, which are reusable and gentle on your baby's skin, and if you prefer to use regular baby wipes, we've tested those too.
Editor's Note: We updated this review on April 8, 2025, with the removal of two discontinued diapers. On February 21, 2025, we also made changes with the removal of Kirkland Signature diapers as an award winner and contender, given the new design and composition changes in 2024.
