There is a lot to like about the Skip Hop Versa ($75). The Versa comes in 3 color styles: black (seen here), cream links, and navy. It is made of eco-friendly materials (PVC, phthalate, and BPA-free) and is remarkably lightweight at 1.4 lbs, saving the work for the stuff you choose to put inside. It expands 20% by easily unzipping an external vertical zipper down the middle of the bag. The storage is ample and easily accessible. All pockets are zippered or open. There are 2 well-sized zippered insulated pockets on front of the Versa which is perfect for snacks or bottles (fits tall bottles up to 8.5" in height). There is a nice zippered pocket on the front which is perfect for a cell phone and a very large zippered pocket on the back of the bag, great for storing the included changing pad and even diapers and wipes. The interior zips open widely revealing simplicity and functionality with a lightly colored water-resistant lining with 4 ample open pockets and the main compartment. The Versa has one main adjustable strap without padding which you can carry over the shoulder or across the body. What looks like a fashion accessory on the sides of the bag are actually non-skid stroller straps which you unclip as needed. However, the
Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association strongly advises against hanging a bag on the back of a stroller due to the risk of the stroller falling backward. We agree. Nonetheless, on this particular bag, the stroller straps look nice and bring style to the bag even when clipped in place. The only things that we feel are missing on the Versa is an attachment for your keys and padding on the shoulder strap. That's high praise. With expandability, easily accessible storage, quality, and eco-friendly materials, we think Skip Hop got it right with this gem of a bag for a gem of a price.
