Our Verdict

The Playtex VentAire is a skinny bottle with an angled neck we found to be both good and bad. The extra parts involved in it's anti-colic vent system made more work for us, while not having much effect on our baby's belly. Combined with a super small nipple, this bottle landed pretty low in our ratings.
REASONS TO BUY
Durable
Encourages up-right feeding
REASONS TO AVOID
Small nipple
Angled neck hard to fill
Too narrow

Our Analysis and Test Results

The VentAire is best characterized by it's angled neck. This felt good in-hand and provided for a nice up-right position for baby. Unfortunately, the very small nipple was not a favorite of our little tester. The narrow angled neck also made filling and cleaning a bit awkward. The removeable bottom is the only thing that allowed us to get this bottle fully clean, however, it also houses the dreaded valve which means: extra parts.

Likes

This bottle is durable with easy to read markings. It goes up to 5 oz. which we like for when you have a hungry baby that needs just a little more than usual.

We also like the slightly up-right feeding angle it encourages for baby.

Dislikes

Narrow, angled opening made filling(especially one-handed!) and cleaning a little tricky.

Extra parts to wash and assemble with the bottom vent.

Conclusion

Nothing really thrilled us about this bottle. We much prefer our Top Pick award winner , and highly rated, Playtex Baby Drop-ins Nurser when it comes to what Playtex has to offer.
