Our Verdict
The Nuna MIXX2 is a high-end stroller with quality fabric, leather-wrapped handlebar, and large rear rubber tires. This stroller is easy to use with good storage and foot-friendly brakes. However, there are some hiccups with this stroller that may leave parents questioning the price. The Nuna is hard to push and turn thanks to plastic front wheels and the seat is rather hard with stiff shocks that could be uncomfortable for passengers. The stroller is one of the largest we tested both in size and weight making it difficult to lift, carry, and stow in smaller spaces. Overall, the Nuna isn't a bad stroller, but its average performance and higher price mean there are many options that are easier to use and push with lower prices and similar features and benefits.

Nuna started with a question of how to bring the baby to the table which resulted in the ZAAZ™ high chair—launched in 2007. Adventures in parenting have taught this Amsterdam born company that parenthood can be “practical and beautiful with clever, design-thoughtful” baby-centric solutions. Nuna is now sold globally and includes strollers and car seats.

Ease of Use
The Nuna MIXX2 is relatively easy to use with an overall experience slightly better than the average full-size option.
Fold and Unfold
Folding the Mixx is a two-handed process with four steps and an auto-locking mechanism. While relatively easy, it does not self-stand and there is no carry handle which is unfortunate because it is challenging to carry. Unfolding is an easy one-hand process with five steps.
The brakes on the Mixx2 are easy to use with a press to set and release.

Brakes
The Nuna has single action, color-coded brakes that easily push to set and push again to release. this design makes them friendly to shoes and feet.
The Nuna storage bin can hold our extra large diaper bag with a collapsible divider that can help you organize.

Storage
The storage bin on the Nuna looks large and it is fitting our extra-large diaper bag inside with a 10 lbs weight limit. It is easy to access with clear openings on all sides and a divider you can fold down. There is also a pocket on the seat back with a silent magnetic closure. The pocket holds up to 1 lb and is large enough for a standard tablet.
Sunshade
This stroller has a smallish canopy with a small, mesh peek-a-boo window even with the visor kicked out. The canopy is simple with a magnetic cover closure., but it gets the job done for the most part.
The 5-point harness on the Nuna is easy enough to use, but the rethread height adjustment and the separate waist straps make it more convoluted than it needs to be.

Harness
The 5-point harness on this stroller is easy enough to get on but slightly harder to remove. It is a rethread style with a button you have to turn sideways to slip into and out of slots you need to feel to find. This harness is the kind where the shoulder straps separate from the waist straps which is not a tester favorite.
The seat on the Nuna has a padded cushion and a bumper bar.

Seat
The Nuna seat can face forward and back at the parents. It reclines with an easy to use button push and has an adjustable leg rest. The recline has 5 set points with one cozy enough for naps. The leg rest is smaller and probably best for smaller kids but the footrest is larger.
Car Seat Compatibility
This Nuna is compatible with the Nuna Pipa and the Nuna Pipa Lite without the need for an adapter purchase. This stroller requires car seat attachment by lining up the two sides simultaneously. This design has proven to be more challenging than the loop adapter style no matter which stroller you are using.
Ease of Setup
This stroller took us over 11:30 minutes to put together making it one of the longer projects in the group.
Despite being harder to set up, the manual is really good with a single language per section, clear illustrations, and enough instructions to be useful without being overwhelming. There is a lot to assemble with the visor being the most difficult.
Maneuverability
The Nuna MIXX2 is harder to turn than we thought it would be resulting in an average performance for maneuverability. The Mixx has rubber tires in the back and plastic in the front which may be one reason why it struggled in our tests for maneuverability. It has some flex in the handlebar and frame that impacted our ability to turn smoothly. Pushing and turning over most surfaces was doable and unchallenging, but it also wasn't that smooth or effortless leaving an unfulfilling feeling when pushing.
The Nuna is both heavy and large making it a poor choice for those who have smaller cars or can't lift heavy items.

Weight and Folded Size
The Nuna MIXX2 weighs 28.5 lbs which is on the heavy side, especially for a product you can't jog with which helped it earn only 5 of 10 for weight and folded size. It measures 15,152 cubic inches when folded which also makes it one of the largest folded products that aren't also a jogging product. In fact, only three options are larger. Size and weight combined make this stroller challenging to lift, stow, and carry.
The Nuna is nice quality and it should be given the price, but some corners have been cut (like the plastic front wheels) which is a bummer.

Quality
The Nuna MIXX2 has good attention to detail and a nice overall fit and finish. The fabrics seem like nice quality with heavy canvas in most places and a coarser weave on the seat fabric. It didn't snag in our tests and feels durable. The simple frame looks good and fits together well with a little bit of flex but nothing to impact sturdiness. The handlebar is comfortable, covered in leather with a little bit of cushion. It has stiffer shocks that aren't adjustable and we worry the hard seat may be uncomfortable even with the padding cover.
